Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield provides emergency assistance to members affected by recent storms
Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield and its family of companies are making assistance available to members affected by tornados in Northwest, North Central and Northeast Arkansas on Sunday, May 26.
“Sunday’s storms have been devastating for thousands of families, and the recovery process is going to take time,” said Arkansas Blue Cross President and CEO Curtis Barnett. “We want members to know we are here to help in their time of need, taking care of their emotional and physical health.”
For members in Baxter, Benton, Boone, Carroll, Greene, Fulton, Marion, Randolph and Sevier counties, the following information and assistance are available:
COUNSELING SERVICES
Members of Arkansas Blue Cross or its affiliate companies who may need emotional support can access a dedicated crisis line to speak with a licensed clinical professional 24/7 – free of charge – by calling 1-833-848-1766 or 1-833-848-1764 toll-free through June 11.
PRESCRIPTIONS
Affected members within the emergency area who are covered by Arkansas Blue Cross, Health Advantage, Octave Blue Cross and Blue Shield or BlueAdvantage Administrators of Arkansas (who use its prescription drug benefits with CVS Caremark) can also obtain a one-time, 10-day emergency refill on maintenance medications. Members taking specialty medications will be contacted to discuss alternate delivery arrangements, if needed.

LOST ID CARD
If a member has lost an ID card, an electronic ID can be downloaded using the Blueprint Portal Mobile app, which can be found in the app store or Google Play.
