What happens when the Public Health Emergency (PHE) declaration ends?

To help people keep their ARHOME coverage during the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government put on hold the redetermination process for the ARHOME program. If someone was eligible for ARHOME coverage in March 2020, they were likely able to keep their coverage without having to send in new eligibility forms.

When the PHE ends, the department of human services (DHS) will start the redetermination process again. This means members could potentially lose coverage if they no longer qualify for the ARHOME program. You will need to take action to determine if you are still eligible for coverage. DHS will be reaching out to members with instructions on what steps to take. Arkansas Blue Cross is unable to update their contact info with DHS, so it is important for ARHOME members to update their email address, mailing address and phone number directly with DHS.

How to update contact information with DHS:

  1. Online at www.ar.gov/update
  2. Call DHS at 844-872-2660
  3. Visit a local DHS county office
