Brett Trelfa named Chief Information Officer for Arkansas Blue Cross
Little Rock, Ark. (December 14, 2020) — Brett Trelfa has been named Chief Information Officer at Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Trelfa has worked in information technology for 23 years. For the past 16 years he worked for national health insurer Humana (based in Louisville, Kentucky) in several roles. Most recently, he served as chief information officer for the company’s Medicare and Medicaid business.
His previous employers include Thyssenkrupp Materials, General Motors Co.; CriTech Research. He also served for eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps, rising to the rank of sergeant. His service included deployment for Operations Desert Shield and Storm.
Trelfa holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and a master’s degree in information systems management from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
