Coordination of Benefits

Coordination of benefits (COB) rules apply when an individual has coverage under more than one health benefit plan, and the rules determine which plan pays first. Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield may coordinate benefits between the health insurers covering the individual. The different health plans will be reviewed to determine which one is primary, secondary, etc. Once that is determined, the primary policy will process the claims first, followed by the other health plans. In order for Arkansas Blue Cross to coordinate with other health plans, you need to submit an Other Insurance/Coordination of Benefits (COB) form from the Other Forms section of the Members Forms page.
