Important updates to Health Advantage Medicare

As of January 1, 2023, the HMO Partners (HMOP) Medicare Advantage HMO Contract has been transferred to Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield (ABCBS).

As a result of the transfer to ABCBS, the individual Health Advantage plan names have changed:

• Health Advantage Blue Classic (HMO) (H9699-004) is now BlueMedicare Classic (HMO).
• Health Advantage Blue Premier (HMO) (H9699-006) is now BlueMedicare Classic Plus (HMO).

What does this mean for you? Most importantly, there will be no change to your previously shared 2023 medical and Part D benefits, Formulary (the Drug List), provider network or pharmacy network because of this change (although there may be other changes throughout the plan year that may apply to all Arkansas Blue Medicare plans).

You will receive a new member ID card in the mail soon, which will include your plan's new name. There will be no other changes to the card. Once you have looked over the card to ensure the information is correct, you can destroy your old Health Advantage member ID card. (When you go to your next medical appointment or pick up a prescription, you may need to show your new ID card.)

In addition, you will begin to see this name change in materials over the next few months.
