Arkansas Blue Cross Retirees

Plan Overview
Arkansas Blue Cross is thrilled to announce the launch of a new Medicare Advantage health plan option for our retirees – BlueMedicare Premier Choice Group (PPO). It's an employer group waiver plan (EGWP, pronounced “egg-whip”).
Medicare Advantage organizations like Arkansas Blue Cross have a contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to offer group plans to retirees of companies, unions, or government agencies.
As you know, your Arkansas Blue Cross Group Medi-Pak plan fills the “gaps” in Original Medicare by helping pay the remaining healthcare costs. Your out-of-pocket costs on your Group Medi-Pak plan are covered at $0 with the allowance provided to our retirees based on when they retired and their number of years of service.
You also have some “extra” benefits, like a fitness center membership through SilverSneakers®, dental, and hearing aid coverage. (You may pay some out-of-pocket costs for extra benefit coverage for your covered spouse.)
With an EGWP, all your Medicare-covered benefits and prescription drugs are also covered, but you and your covered spouse get many more extras that you don’t get with your Group Medi-Pak plan.
If you decide to join our new EGWP (BlueMedicare Premier Choice Group (PPO)), please complete an enrollment application and mail it to the following address:

Mailed enrollment applications must be postmarked by 6/10/22.
If you attend the 5/31/22 in-person seminar, you can give your completed enrollment application to one of the representatives.
Information is specific to MA group retirees.
