Marketplace plans

Plans purchased through the Health Insurance Marketplace (healthcare.gov)

Because you bought your plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace, whether or not you previously received financial assistance will determine your next steps on how to re-enroll for the new plan year.

Option 1: Keep your current plan

If you're happy with your plan and DO NOT receive financial assistance from the government, no further action is needed; you will be automatically re-enrolled if you do not re-enroll through the Marketplace.

If you're happy with your plan and you DO receive financial assistance from the government, call Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield (800-800-4298) or your agent or broker. We can review your eligibility information and make certain you receive the financial assistance to which you're entitled. We also can help you re-enroll or update your plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace.

You must re-enroll or update your plan by December 15 for the change to be effective January 1.

Option 2: Check for more affordable plans or financial assistance

If you want to see if more affordable plans are available or if you will qualify for financial assistance through the Health Insurance Marketplace, you can start shopping on November 1 through Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, a broker or agent, or visit the Health Insurance Marketplace. .

  • November 1 – January 15 Health Insurance Marketplace Open Enrollment Period for Health Insurance Plans.
  • For coverage to begin January 1, you must enroll by December 15.
