Dependent Coverage

Stepchildren are eligible for coverage.
Single, dependent children are covered to age 26 as long as premiums are paid when due.
If you have a newborn, please submit an application within 90 days of the baby’s birth to make sure coverage is effective as of the baby’s birth date.

Waiting Periods

If you had prior dental coverage with another insurance carrier, either group or individual, it will count toward your new plan coverage (continuous coverage is applied if Arkansas Blue Cross receives the appropriate information for time credit). However, this is only applicable if there are waiting periods.
Please mail your Certificate of Creditable Coverage from your previous insurance carrier to us within 30 days of the date your coverage begins (the effective date) with Arkansas Blue Cross. Please mail to:
