Best of Both Worlds
Today, many companies are finding that it simply makes good business sense to choose
a self-funded health insurance plan. BlueAdvantage brings you the best of both worlds
— more control of your money and benefit plan and efficient administration of cost-effective
health insurance.
Taking Care of Business and Employees
Taking care of a business while taking care of valued employees is no small challenge,
but in the ever-changing world of health insurance, employers want to be sure employees
are getting the health plan coverage they deserve at a price that's affordable.
That's where BlueAdvantage can help.
BlueAdvantage's primary goal is to provide its customers with quality, cost-effective
managed care programs, excellent customer service and flexible benefit options.
BlueAdvantage can bring these advantages to a company-sponsored employee health
plan:
- Benefit options are flexible;
- Administrative costs are competitively priced;
- Claims processing abilities consistently exceed industry standards;
- Post-payment reporting is comprehensive;
- Provider contracting is cost-conscious and "user-friendly";
- Our network of health-care providers and hospitals is the largest in the state.
Primary Care Network
The Primary Care Network (PCN) is an option for self-insured groups. Members
choose a primary-care physician from a customized local network. This managed care
program currently offers 50 locally based provider networks and features primary-care
physicians who can effectively manage the total health needs and costs of their
patients.
Access to the National BlueCard® Program
Through its affiliation with Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, BlueAdvantage
can offer its customers access to the national BlueCard program.
Participation in the BlueCard program allows our members to receive the same health-care
benefits of their local Plan when traveling or living outside the Plan's area.
Members carry the nationally recognized Blue Cross and Blue Shield logo on their
BlueAdvantage ID card and receive the following benefits when they visit a provider
that participates in the network of any of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans
across the country and throughout the world:
- Consistent benefit administration;
- Reduced provider fees;
- Hold-harmless provisions for amounts in excess of Blue Cross and Blue Shield allowances;
- No member claims filing.
