Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Why was I taken back to the “Job Search” screen when I tried to select a link?
    For security reasons, you are logged off and redirected to the “Job Search” screen if there has been no activity on the site after 60 minutes.

  • How long will a position be open for me to apply?
    Positions may close at any time. If you are interested in a position that is posted, we encourage you to apply now.

  • Can I apply for more than one position at a time?
    Yes, you may apply for more than one position. You will need to select the “Apply for position” link in each position description and complete the application process for each position for which you are applying.

  • If I am contacted for an interview, how long can I expect the interview to last?
    We recommend that you be prepared to spend from one to three hours in the interview/testing process.

  • How do I know if you have received my application?
    When you select the “Submit Application” button at the bottom of the online application, you will be directed to the “Application Status” screen. If the “Application Status” of the position for which you applied is complete then we have received your application.

  • Why do symbols appear in the box when I type in my password and secret answer?
    To protect the security of the registration and log-in process, you should not share your password or secret answer with anyone. For this reason, this website does not display this private information.

  • When will I need my secret question and answer?
    You will need your secret question and answer when you return to the log-in page to access your personal information, access your previously submitted applications, or apply for a position and you have forgotten or lost your password. You will be asked to enter your answer to the secret question. If you successfully enter the answer to your secret question, you may access your personal information and apply for a position.

  • What should I do if I forget my password?
    Select the "Forgot your password?" link on the “Log-in” screen. You will be asked for your Social Security number and the answer to your secret question that you selected when you registered. The answer must match exactly the answer you entered when you registered.

  • What if I forget my password AND my secret answer?
    If you forget your password AND your secret answer, you will have to contact hrjobs@arkbluecross.com. To protect your information from hacking, you are allowed only one registration.

  • Why do you need my email address?
    Your email address will be used to contact you if more information is required, to schedule an interview, or to notify you that a position has been filled. It will not be sold or shared with any third party.

  • Why do you need to know if I have relatives employed by Arkansas Blue Cross or its family of companies?
    Relatives of a currently employed worker at Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield and its subsidiaries generally are considered for employment on the basis of their qualifications. However, the hiring of relatives is prohibited if the employment of such an individual would result in the creation of:

    1. Employment of a relative of a Board member, Officer at the Vice President level or above, Director or Manager of Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield or its subsidiaries or affiliates
    2. Employment of two related persons within an area reporting to a Vice President area
    3. An actual conflict of interest or the appearance of a conflict of interest

    Generally, this bars the hiring or employment of an employee's relatives in any position that has an auditing or control relationship to the employee's job.

  • I uploaded a resume last month and need to update it. How do I delete my old resume?
    You are not able to delete any uploaded documents. When you upload a document with the same name, we will use the upload date to determine the most recent version.

  • I edited one application, but the date in the “Last Update” column changed for ALL my applications. Why?
    If you update any information on the “Contact Information” screen, that update will apply to all your applications for positions with a status of open. Therefore, all applications for open positions will have the same date in the “Last Update” column.
