more than a dozen affiliates. Arkansas Blue Cross also operates a charitable

Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield
Founded in 1948, Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield is the largest health insurer
in Arkansas. Arkansas Blue Cross and its affiliates provide health care financing
for approximately one-third of Arkansans.
BlueAdvantage Administrators of Arkansas
BlueAdvantage Administrators of Arkansas is the state's largest third-party administrator,
administering employer health plan benefits for more than 223,000 members. BlueAdvantage
provides customized, high-quality health benefits administration and related outsourcing

Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas
The Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas is a charitable foundation
established and funded by Arkansas Blue Cross to promote better health in Arkansas.
The Foundation anticipates awarding up to $1 million in grants annually to non-profit
or governmental organizations and programs that positively affect the health of

HMO Partners, Inc. (dba Health Advantage)
HMO Partners, Inc. was formed in 1994, with the merger of the state's two leading
health maintenance organizations (HMOs). Baptist Medical System HMO, Inc., doing
business as Health Advantage, founded by Baptist Medical System (now Baptist Health)
in 1986, joined forces with Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield's HMO Arkansas,
Inc. (founded in 1984). The company, which does business as Health Advantage, is
the state's largest and oldest HMO and the only statewide HMO that is both state-certified
and federally qualified. HMO Partners, Inc. is half-owned by a subsidiary of Arkansas
Blue Cross and half-owned by Baptist Medical System HMO, Inc. Baptist Medical System
HMO, Inc. is half-owned by Baptist Health and half-owned by a group of Arkansas
