David Bridges
Executive Vice President, Internal Operations
Biography
David Bridges leads Health Advantage, the state’s largest health maintenance organization, and directs the internal operations of Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, which includes claims, customer services, membership, billing, premium collection, Health Advantage information systems and infrastructure management which includes two enterprise data centers located in Conway and North Little Rock. He joined the company in 1974 as a supervisor in Customer Accounts. In 1984, Bridges became executive director of HMO Arkansas and in 1994 was involved in the merger of HMO Arkansas and Health Advantage forming HMO Partners, Inc., d.b.a. Health Advantage. He was promoted to the position of CEO of Health Advantage and Central Region executive in 1997. He was named senior vice president of Customer Service including BlueAdvantage Administrators of Arkansas and Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield in 2002 while maintaining his role as CEO of Health Advantage. David was promoted to executive vice president of Internal Operations for Arkansas Blue Cross in 2006 and continues as CEO of HMO Partners, Inc. A native of Fort Smith, Bridges received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. He also has attended the Excellence in Customer Service program at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. Bridges is a member of the Kiwanis Club of downtown Little Rock.
