Biography
P. Mark White began his career with Arkansas Blue Cross in 1970 as a staff accountant and worked in several roles within the Provider Audit and Finance areas before being named manager of Provider Reimbursement. White left the Plan for a short time and returned in 1984 as controller of the Life Insurance Company of Arkansas, currently known as USAble Life. In 1986, he assumed the duties of vice president of Finance for the Plan, was later promoted to senior vice president of Finance, and subsequently promoted to executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer. In 1993, he was named president and chief executive officer of USAble Corporation. White became president of Arkansas Blue Cross in January of 2009. He is the former chairman of the Arkansas Life & Disability Insurance Guaranty Association and the former vice chairman of the Arkansas Comprehensive Health Insurance Pool. White serves on the Boards of USAble Corporation, USAble Life, HMO Partners, Baptist Health Foundation, Life and Specialty Ventures, LLC, Pinnacle Business Solutions, Inc., Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Downtown Partnership and Fifty for the Future.
