Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting with the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of new programs, expansion or improvement of current programs in Enterprise Data Management. The incumbent will assist in leading small to large scale projects through all phases of the standard product lifecycle, coordinating schedules, coordinating and collaborating with staff in the Enterprise Data Management Division and other divisions as well as with external vendors and partners, and meeting project objectives.

The incumbent must assume a leadership role, work independently and possess superior communication skills while developing and maintaining diplomatic rapport with all internal and external customers. Necessary skills require strong organizational and presentation skills, ability to manage change, knowledge of project management methodologies, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.


Nature & Scope
This position reports to the Project Management Supervisor in the Enterprise Data Management Division. The incumbent performs duties and responsibilities under the authority delegated by the Project Management Supervisor, and assists with the planning for and oversight of Enterprise Data Management projects through all phases of the standard project lifecycle including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and closing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.

The position works with a broad cross section of executive, managerial, technical and administrative staff, as well as outside vendors and partners to achieve project objectives and the incumbent may be asked to assist with guidance, consultation, communication, reviews, and recommendations related to Enterprise Data Management projects. By presenting both oral and written information to internal and external customers, the position has public relations aspect.

The incumbent must exert a positive leadership influence among team members and work closely with other staff to assist in project development and management of projects that demand the highest level of research, analysis, timeliness and accuracy measures. The incumbent will often work with self-imposed deadlines in response to meeting customer requests. Multiple projects may be on-going simultaneously and the incumbent must be able to deliver high quality solutions with aggressive timeframes and high level stakeholder satisfaction.

The incumbent must self manage and have a fundamental drive to achieve goals and improve upon prior accomplishments. The incumbent is in the position to assist in guiding project teams toward achieving their objectives as delegated by the Project Management Supervisor in Enterprise Data Management. The incumbent must possess a superior level of interpersonal skills, strong research and analytical skills and high organizational skills to handle multiple priorities.

Data Management and Analysis and/or Application Systems Programming Experience Preferred

Experience in the application of data management and analysis tools (e.g. MS Access, SAS, SQL) and/or in application systems programming (e.g. analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation of system projects.)

Presentation Experience

Experience making presentations to groups of individuals in a formal business setting. Provide list of examples and audiences. Demonstration of public speaking ability may be required during interview.

* Large Scale Project - Project must be a minimum 6 months of duration and involve at least three other divisions. Must serve as the overall Project Manager on the project, keep the schedule, monitor issues/risks/changes and perform project closing activities.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES OR ACCOUNTABILITIES (Essential Functions of Job)
1. Assist with the management of projects, including preparation and maintenance of project plans, deliverables, change management, status reporting, identifying resources and individual responsibilities, scheduling and calendar management, and post-project reporting.

2. Attend project meetings, as needed, to assist team members with management of ongoing projects.

3. Maintain records of project issues, associated communications and steps to resolution.

4. Assist with review and tracking of project deliverables prepared by project contributors.

5. Dissemination of project documents, presentations and other information, as needed.

6. Maintain project management document repositories.

7. Develop presentations highlighting findings, analysis, recommendations and action plans.

8. Develops and maintains positive relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external as needed to collaborate on projects designed to improve processes.

9. Assist in proactive communication with stakeholders regarding project management status and deliverables.

10. Maintain a current, working knowledge of common project management practices, including ongoing reading, learning and research.

11. Employ continuous quality improvement (CQI) in all aspect of assigned responsibilities.

12. Participate in enterprise initiatives as directed by senior staff.
